Psychotherapy

It is normal to experience problems in life or to behave in ways that we do not find helpful. Most of the time we can sort these things out by ourselves. Sometimes we need help: someone to talk with, to help us get to the bottom of things, to guide us safely towards our desired outcome.

Psychotherapy helps you to explore and better understand your behaviours, thoughts and feelings.

Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy works through your desired outcome. Current unhelpful patterns of behavior or unuseful emotional or physical reactions are opened up. You learn why it was once important for you to react in this way. New choices are identified and real change becomes possible.

I am particularly interested in working with people who have had a traumatic experience that is still troubling them. This might be a life threatening event, a risk to your sense of self or your loss of control.

When you are ready, the first step is to get in touch. I will ask you what you want help with, explain how I work with clients and discuss how we might best work together.
